BioForce Gold Tips

I Recently Needed to Jump Start My Golf Fitness Program!

I hit a plateau a month or so ago with my workouts. I felt like I was in a little rut, not making the gains that I wanted with my goals.

I can remember the day, August 31st . I decided I needed to change things up a little with my workout routine, so I reset some of my targets and decided to lose a few unwanted pounds of blubber.

Who Says You Can’t Play Better as You Get Older?

As we get older, it shouldn’t slow us down to play this great sport, golf.

At BioForce, we feel you can even improve your game as you get older. My dad played his best golf in his 70’s. Even got his handicap in the single digits, got his first and second hole-in-one. I can remember him calling me saying he got his first hole in one. He was so excited. Describing how the ball disappeared. We had a great relationship, kidding a lot. I even ribbed him saying the 130 yard hole-in-one was a chip shot. He got me back a week later. I answered the phone and he promptly told me he got another one. This time it was 170 or 180 yard par 3. Couldn’t argue that one…heck, I couldn’t argue either, but we had fun talking about it.

You can enjoy golf as you age. You can hit the ball further, straighter, and play well day in and day out. Only if you do it methodically.

We feel the right way is with proper preparation in every aspect your game. This means;

1.  Continuing to improve the mechanics of your golf swing through practice.

2.  Continuing to receive instruction through a qualified instructor.

3.  Purchasing equipment that matches the characteristics of your golf swing.

And probably the most important aspect of this recipe as you age...

4.  Training your body to support your golf swing.

We are all continually fine tuning our swing.

Most amateurs start to lose it in the golf fitness and training department.

As we get older, the body does not operate in the same way as it used too.

The aging process reduces our FLEXIBILITY, weakens our MUSCLES, and lowers our ability to crush it down the fairway.

For you to have so-called good golf swing mechanics, you must have a certain amount of FLEXIBILITY, STRENGTH, and POWER from the muscles in your body.

If your body lacks the minimum amounts in all of these categories, your body will create compensations in your golf swing. We’ve all seen those guys on the range with the choppy, hacking golf swing.

How do you combat the your body failing in your golf game?

You’ve got to implement GOLF FITNESS TRAINING into your golf program.

PGA and Champion Tour players understand this concept. Why not the amateur?

Might I suggest taking a look at the exercises in our manual Your Body & Your Swing.

If you are getting started in golf fitness and are a little more mature than some of use, take a look at our Ageless Golfer DVD. A great place to start building more strength, flexibility, and power.

So remember; the body does slow down as you get older, you can become an Ageless Golfer. Implement golf fitness training into your golf game and get the most out of your swing. Be sure to drop us a line if you get a hole-in-one. We’ll be sure to recognize you to the rest of the BioForce Golf family. I won’t even give you a bad time if it’s a short one…..unless I get one!

Make It Happen!
