Keep Your Lower Back and Drives Strong All Year Long
I imagine by the time many of you read this I will be halfway across the Atlantic Ocean on my way to Royal Liverpool Golf Cub for the 2006 British. Yes, we are headed over a week early to begin preparing for the third major of the year.
I am looking forward to it, and check out the daily journals I will be posting on BioForce Golf the week of the event.
If you have not already heard, David Toms has withdrawn from the British Open due to a back injury. It was announced at the end of last week. He is a great player, great person, and hopefully he will be back soon.
I think it hits home the point of how strenuous the golf swing can be on the lower back and how important it is to keep the lower back healthy if you want to play golf for a long time.
Now as you all know every morning when I get up, I do a series of LOWER BACK flexibility and warm-up exercises, did it today.
These exercises get by lower back feeling loose and good for the day.
That's why I think you are going to really like a new product of mine that contains a series of lower back flexibility and warm-up exercises that is sure to get you feeling good in a matter of weeks!
But there is more to keeping your lower back healthy than just flexibility and warm-up exercises.
What I am talking about are:
LOWER BACK STRENGTHENING EXERCISES.
These are what I call the 2nd piece of the puzzle to keeping your lower back feeling good.
Let me explain; lower back strengthening exercises focus on getting the muscles strong of the lower back.
As a result, the muscles of your lower back don't FATIGUE and you can keep hitting driver over and over.
A series of lower back strengthening exercises doesn't take long to do.
I spend 10 MINUTES a Day on my LOWER BACK EXERCISES
And I have not had a lower back injury in years. Take a look at Phil, he to has not missed a tournament in years from a lower back injury.
WHAT DOES THIS TELL ME?
If you spend 10 minutes a day on lower back exercises, the chances of your lower back becoming injured are significantly reduced.
My Favorite LOWER BACK EXERCISES which flat out work are from
My Your Body & Your Swing golf fitness manual.
They are easy to do, require no equipment, and can be done in your living room.
Matter of fact I did these exact same exercises this morning in my living room.
My choice of lower back exercises are;
-
Elbow Holds,
-
Bent Knee Back Holds,
-
Alternating Superman's
And
-
Alternating Arm and Leg Extension
Bottom line is they work, if they work for me, and they work for Phil, they probably will work for you.
Make It Happen!
