Increasing Clubhead Speed
It seems as though this heat wave followed me back from the UK. It feels more like Florida than California here in San Diego. I did my golf fitness workout this morning and I was dripping with sweat 5 minutes into it.
I don't mind working up a little sweat, makes me feel as though I am working hard, but I will say it is a little uncomfortable without any AC near the ocean (not complaining, just commenting).
I was in the middle of my workout today and getting into my GOLF FITNESS POWER EXERCISES.
And I was thinking how beneficial these exercises have been to me in increasing my clubhead speed.
Granted the mechanics of my swing has improved over the years, and I have equipment to match my swing.
But I will say how effortless it feels hitting driver.
It's almost as if I have to hold back a little and go at the ball around 85% of my max.
This gives me the greatest amount of carry on the ball, and it literally feels like I not going at the ball very hard.
The reality is the POWER OUTPUTS of MY BODY are so much greater now than before I don't have to go after the ball with 100% effort.
This has really helped me control my driver, and in all honestly lowered my scores.
I am HITTING MY DRIVER THE SAME DISTANCE OR LONGER, but I am no longer finding myself hitting it into the thick stuff.
I am ending up in the fairway, making it a lot easier to go at the pin.
Now I realize I have been at this a few years, so thinking about where to start the process of INCREASING CLUBHEAD SPEED with a golf fitness program.
I would say the best place to begin is with the simple to perform exercises found in my Your Body & Your Swing golf fitness manual.
These are easy to perform exercises and you will notice an immediate difference in your golf game.
At some point these exercises will become easier and it is time to graduate to a higher level of golf fitness training.
This is the point I would recommend shifting gears to my One-Up Advanced Golf Fitness System,
This is where you find more advanced exercises and the ones I, and other PGA tour players are currently using.
Some of my favorite CLUBHEAD INCREASING EXERCISES are; tubing side rotations, and medicine ball side-to-sides.
Developing POWER (i.e. CLUBHEAD SPEED) is a process, begin with the basic golf fitness exercises and then proceed to the more advanced ones.
This will guarantee you seeing results in your game and improvement in your clubhead speed.
Bottom line the stuff works.
Make It Happen!
