BioForce Gold Tips

I Recently Needed to Jump Start My Golf Fitness Program!

I hit a plateau a month or so ago with my workouts. I felt like I was in a little rut, not making the gains that I wanted with my goals.

I can remember the day, August 31st . I decided I needed to change things up a little with my workout routine, so I reset some of my targets and decided to lose a few unwanted pounds of blubber.

Exercises for Lower Back Problems

"Sean,
Hi! My name is Winnie Soderholm and I am from Finland! I am 19 years old and I have the muscles around my spine so hard that it is hard to shoot a relaxed golf shot. Do you know of some exercises that could help me with my back problems?

Do you know an easy way to get your upper and lower muscles, around your spine in great condition? I think that it is my problem in golf that my back isn't so flexible as it should be!

Thanks,
Winnie Soderholm

Thanks for your question and hopefully my suggestions can get your golf game on track. Winnie, first off I would suggest getting checked out by a back specialist. Dealing with the spine and the muscles surrounding the spine you want to make sure everything is in the "right place". You never know what could be the problem when you are feeling "tight" in the muscles surrounding the spine. I can speak from experience that the muscles in my upper back have been "would-up" and after a visit to my chiropractor they feel 100% better. So first off get your back checked out by a qualified medical professional.

Once you get this step out of the way, on the golf fitness side of the equation what may help you is what I call "reflexive golf flexibility" exercise. These type of flexibility exercises assist in lengthening "tight" muscles.

Each and every muscle in your body has what we call and optimal length-tension relationship. The muscles in your upper back have a certain length they "should" be at when resting. If the muscles are "tight" they are not at this optimal length, nor resting in a relaxed position. This can cause stress and discomfort in this part of the body.

The implementation of these type of flexibility exercise will assist in lengthening "tight" muscles, returning them to a relaxed position. I would suggest implementing these types of flexibility exercises once you have got your back checked out by a specialist. Best of luck and keep my in the loop on your progress.
